American short tail Cat breed introduction
American Bobtail Cat

American Bobtail Cat, as its name suggests, has a short tail. The city adaptability is relatively strong, it is not afraid of strangers, and it is a cat that is easier to get along with. It loves to stick to its owner, so you don’t want to leave it alone at home.

The Origin of the American Bobtail Cat

The American Bobtail Cat originated in the 1860s (not intentionally cultivated). Characteristics of this species are a short tail and thick, medium-long hair. In 1964, a couple named Sanders were vacationing at an Indian resort in Arizona. They found a kitten with a wild appearance, short hair and an upturned tail. They adopted the cat and named it YODIE. Later, this cat was mated with a Siamese cat named MICHI, and one of the resulting cubs was a cream-colored one with horizontal spots. This cub was the origin of this breed.

Introduction to the American Bobtail Cat breed

This is a domestic cat breed, but its appearance shows the characteristics of a wild cat. The American Bobtail is quiet, patient and stylish. It has a gentle nature and is close to its owner. The American Bobtail cat can get along well with other cats and dogs, but it does not like to be independent. Cats of this American origin are extremely common outside the United States. This species was recognized by TICA in 1989. Semi-long-haired American Bobtail cats and long-haired American Bobtail cats have the same species characteristics as their cousins

American Bobtail Cat Price

< p> If you buy American Bobtail cats in regular pet stores, most of them have pedigree certificates, and the general price is around 8,000 to 10,000. If you buy an external cattery, it will only cost about 3,000. Of course, you get what you pay for, and there will be a big difference in appearance and body shape.

It turns out that many times when we go to pet stores or catteries to buy pets, we don’t really understand what a purebred is and what is good or bad. When the cat is too young, it is basically invisible. After taking it home and raising it, it gradually grew up and became emotional. Even if it was found that it was not a purebred, or why it had grown so long, what did it matter? I was so happy that I didn't care about it anymore. Many, it has been inseparable from your life.
