Dogs
If your dog is white, it will definitely be because of the red color. The lacrimal glands are disturbed, and some dogs may shed tears for some reason. This not only affects the dog's appearance, but also indicates the dog's eye disease. What should the owner do when your dog bursts into tears?
1. Cut the hair and cut off the hair that is temporarily blocked to reduce irritation. Maybe it is for Shih Tzu, Yorkshire Terrier (definitely introduced), Maltese dog braid.
2. Wipe frequently and use absorbent cotton balls to absorb and wipe the remaining tears. There is no good solution, all parents are trying to communicate kindly. For red stains that are more difficult to wipe off, you can use tear stain drying liquid specially designed for dogs.
3. If the dog’s fundus is red (conjunctivitis), instill antibiotic eye drops (chloramphenicol eye drops, twice a day).
4. Go to the pet hospital to check whether there is entropion, ectropion, or excess of the third eyelid gland. If so, surgical adjustment is required.
5. Go to a large pet hospital for a check-up to see if the nasolacrimal duct is unobstructed. If that doesn't work, you can clean and connect the nasolacrimal duct. If the nasolacrimal duct is stubbornly narrow, you can do the intubation to make it permanently dilated.
6. Punctal reconstruction surgery can be performed for those with severe punctal closure.
7. 20%-30% of the increase in sobbing in dogs is due to genius. In species with severe bulging of the eyeballs, the tear points are easily squeezed. There is currently no better way to deal with this situation, but to keep wiping.
