Burmese cats mature earlier, starting to come into heat at about 5 months old, and can mate and give birth at 7 months old. Burmese cats have a long lifespan, generally 16 to 18 years old, and some even longer.

Shape of Burmese cat

Head: American type; wide and round, not flat. The skull, forehead and cheeks are rounded. Short, round muzzle. There is a nasal stop. The chin is round and strong. Jaws strong. British type: short and bluntly triangular, with a broad and slightly rounded skull. Cheek bones prominent. The mandibular junction is wide.

Ears:Average size. They are widely spaced, wide at the base and rounded at the tip. Short and sparse inner ear hair.

Eyes: Large and round, widely spaced, the tips of the eyes are forward and slanted, and the lower lash line is curved. A dark, lively complexion is best, and golden color is best.

Neck: Short and well developed.

Body: Mediocre in size, overly dense and round. The chest is broad and capable. The bones are strong and the muscles are strong. Slender and less compact, but muscular and surprisingly heavy compared to its small body.

Legs and Claws: Length in proportion to body size. Round, average-sized claws. Small and oval.

Tail: Plain length, straight, thick at the base; or not thick at the base, gradually tapering toward the tail end, and finally rounded.

Coat:Very short, fine, silky, glossy and closely dispersed. Luxurious, satin feel. There is simply no down below.
